Nathan Liang is a Research Technician in Jean-Sébastien Parent’s laboratory at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. He performs most of the bioinformatics analyses for the lab, taking part in the large majority of the lab’s projects. He’s currently focusing on the naked oat and Fusarium RNAi projects. Nathan graduated with a BSc in Translational and Molecular Medicine from the University of Ottawa, followed by a MSc in Plant Science from McGill University, where he studied the interaction between Bacillus velezensis and Fusarium graminearum. He first joined Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in 2016 as a student, finally joining the Parent Lab in 2022 as a full-time research technician. His interests currently lie in the applications of next-generation sequencing for use in agricultural research.
