Graduate Students

The Parent Lab accepts both MSc and PhD students through Carleton University’s Department of Biology. Prospective students should contact Jean-Sébastien to inquire about possible positions.

Honours Projects

Our lab accepts 4th year Carleton University and University of Ottawa undergraduate students for Honours projects (Carleton: BIOL 4908, uOttawa: BIO4009). Prospective students should contact Jean-Sébastien in the Fall or Winter semester of their 3rd year to express their interest. Honours students will be fully trained to be able to take on all the demands their project requires.

Summer Undergraduate Students

The Parent Lab accepts undergraduate students from any Canadian university for full-time summer positions. This can be through the co-op program of your university or through the Government of Canada’s Federal Student Work Experience Program. Prospective students should contact Jean-Sébastien to inquire about available positions. Students will have be able to commute to Ottawa’s Central Experimental Farm for the duration of their work term.
